Dancing and dance making are both tools I use to investigate the body’s potential for momentum and expressivity. I am driven by objective and experiential curiosities about movement, composition, anatomy, and I am drawn to richly kinetic moments.

I am a creator, and I compose ideas in space, movements in sequences, and juxtapose a variety of elements.  Far-ranging interests and unique perspectives contribute to my approaches to choreography, performance, and improvisational work –  and I consider it work. I draw inspiration from the world around me – collected fragments, images, and designs – and bring them into the studio to become the pulses and textures of my dances. Many of my dances contain curious logic that challenge the predictable and “known”.
