I had the great opportunity to be involved in this year’s Brighton Dance Festival as a performer, teacher, and choreographer. I took part in the opening night performance, which showcases dance work by the BDF faculty and showed my new solo iSelf in which I dance with a projected manipulated live feed of myself.
During the following festival week, I taught Modern Technique in a morning session to the advanced dancers, and created a new dance for seven dancers which I called Play It.
I’m very thankful to Kathy King and the committed, enthusiastic students at the festival who showed themselves to be hungry to learn and engage with new material.
